Our first steps as a certified B Corp

Becoming a certified B Corporation validated who we’ve always been. But it’s not a finish line, it’s a starting point for the future.

Now, we’re focused on putting our values into action and making sure everyone we work with (our team, our clients, our suppliers, and our community) knows what this means and how it shapes our decisions.

 

Making it real

Since certification, we’ve started sharing the news more widely. Following guidance from the recent B Lab UK “New B’s” webinar, we’re taking simple but meaningful steps to raise awareness:

• We’re bringing our team into the conversation, making sure they understand what being a B Corp means in practice.

• We’re letting our clients and suppliers know too - encouraging open dialogue and inviting them to consider what role they can play.

• We’re updating our public touchpoints (email footers, social channels and company profiles) to clearly reflect our B Corp status.

It’s not about self-promotion. It’s about clarity, transparency, and shared purpose.

 

Community

We’ve joined The B Hive, B Lab’s collaboration platform, and have already had insightful conversations with other B Corps - some just getting started, while others are further along. These exchanges have sparked ideas, challenges, and opportunities for collaboration.

We’ve also started reaching out to local B Corps to build new connections. Working together at the local level is a powerful way to amplify our impact. Our team’s enthusiasm and openness have been key to forging these new connections.

 

Adopting the new standards

We welcome the evolving standards. They set a higher bar and keep the movement future-focused.

We’ve started exploring the new Impact Standards, which we’ll be assessed against when we recertify in three years. These changes help sharpen the focus on areas like climate action, equity, and human rights. We’re beginning now so we’re ready - not just for recertification but for a more profound impact.

A reminder of what matters

We’ve also received our B Corp plaque, designed by fellow B Corp Elvis & Kresse. It’s made from reclaimed firehose and scaffolding wood. It makes a practical and symbolic reminder that what we do (and how we do it) leaves a mark.

We’re proud to be part of a community working toward something better. For us, it’s about marketing with impact - listening, learning, and continually improving.
